Plague Times: November Edition
Well, it ain’t getting any better out there and you just KNOW they’re not going to sacrifice holiday sales πŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ™Š

Stay safe out there!

Scary Movies and Scale Model Kits
I tried something a little different last month with Scary Movies and Scale Model Kits and tbh, I really enjoyed it. I might continue some version of it in the new year, maybe have a movie night every other Saturday? There’s lots of scary movies that haven’t scared me yet and more model kits to build.

November is National Novel Writing Month! And as I’ve done every year for the past nine years, I’m going spend 30 days suffering creatively and creatively suffering. It’s a good time.

As such, I won’t have the usual (hahaha) time for reading, so for November, I will be cleaning up some old reviews to post on Sundays, with some writing/NaNo-related posts on Wednesdays.

This Month’s Releases
Okay, genius idea here. What if Iβ€”now brace yourselvesβ€”included the actual release dates in these posts? Bonkers, right? Can’t wait to start doing that. Next month, of course.

Young Adult Fantasy and Science Fiction Releases:
ya SFF 01
Don’t confused Goblin King with The Goblin Emperor, now!

Adult/Gen Fantasy and Science Fiction Releases:
nov adult SFF 01
(I need to note that Master of One is actually a YA Fantasy book. I fucked up. Oops.)

The Burning God is out this month and I still haven’t read the rest of The Poppy War! I read the first half of the first book when it came out, realized oh shit, this isn’t something I can read on the side of Camp NaNo, and then… never got around to actually reading (or reviewing) the rest.

We’ve got Eartheater and The Factory Witches of Lowell this month if you’re interested in short reads; Nophek Gloss if you’re interested in space operas with queer rep, particularly ace, genderfluid and nonbinary rep; and A Deal With the Elf King if you are the fae-fucking sort.

LGBT+ Releases:
I have heard SO many good things about Written in the Stars and I’m so excited to dig into it when I have the time!

What new books are you looking forward to this November?
